What is the 6-6-6 walking challenge?

The 6-6-6 walking challenge isn’t really a challenge in the strictest sense - in fact, its goal is to make exercise feel less challenging over time. The focus is on boosting your stamina and building consistency in your fitness routine to establish healthy habits that support your long-term wellbeing.

I am perturbed that Patient.Info is promoting the theories of a Hollywood chiropractor. The system outlined here seems to amount to little more than advice which is commonly given, i.e. to walk regularly and at a decent pace. The fact that you have chosen to present it as something endorsed by a practitioner of an entirely unscientific and provably dangerous regime makes me question the validity of your approach. If you want to suggest to readers that walking regularly and at pace is a healthy thing to do, there are literally hundreds of science-based sources by proper medical experts you could use. That you have chosen to present this as some kind of breakthrough by a chiropractor is disappointing.

I appreciate the basic concept of what youre aiming to achieve in this piece although if youre aiming the reading at the totally un initiated to suggest that they emerge onto the streets or lonely parks at 6am 6pm when for 4 months of the year its pitch black outside i think lacks proper evaluation on your part. Ive had cause to question some of your guidance on previous occasions, appears you just don`t put enough research into some of the info you provide either that or you fail to make sure your contributors are fully clued up on their subject.

It’s ridiculous to walk at 6am or 6pm in Ireland when it’s pitch dark. Wouldn’t a little bit of daylight walking be much better?

Given that this advice is from Hollywood, some consideration of adaptation to winter-time in the UK and Ireland would have been a sensible step before presenting this as good advice. Failure to take this obvious step makes it less likely that I will consider what would otherwise be good advice in other articles on this site.
