What is the best treatment for burning?

Hello,

I was wondering what some of you ladies would suggest for being the best relief for the burning sensation that comes with this condition. I have had burning all day at work and found it difficult to walk today. I am a teacher and found it to be an extremely challenging day.

How long since you were diagnosed, Nicole? I had burning at first and during flare-ups but now that the condition's under control so there's no burning. Have you tried applying coconut oil in between cortisone treatments? Also soaking in a warm sitz bath for awhile is soothing.  Hope this helps!

Hi Nicole,

Next to globetasol on a regular basis, I do baking soda baths.  (1/3 cup) and baking soda rinses with the help of a Perin bottle which I always carry with me. (three pinches)  I love bathrooms that provide a bit of luke warm water after each bathroom visit.  Then I apply a bit of coconut oil.  Especially the bathroom 'ritual' keeps me going all day.

Hope this helps you find your comforting items.  LS is no fun.

Vaseline is a really effective barrier from sweat and urine when burning. Generally I like olive oil or coconut oil but I think Vaseline is a more effective barrier.

Tried a sea salt water bath yesterday for my clitoris issues. I think it's something I will do again. Don't feel as sore today.

I agree, Vaseline keeps the air and urine from stinging. Also, you could put a little squirt bottle of water with two pinches of baking soda in it to rinse after every pee. And a face cloth to blot dry, maybe. Then more Vaseline.

Tucks pads or witch hazel on a panty liner has worked for me
