After reading Shirl's thread about Chinese food it got me thinking. What is the one thing, apart from support of loved ones and the forum, you cannot do without or which makes your life just that little bit easier. Thinking caps on folks - this made for a very interesting discussion at work.
Hi Maggers
My weakness is CHOCOLATE !! x
Mine was alcohol but now cant tolerate it at all.after yet another weekend of "sampling the grape"am going to knock on the head completely.
So now id have to say my kindle and cigs!!!!
ah chocolate, milk or dark? A little of what you fancy does you good - enjoy.
Toast and marmalade!!!!
I love my Kindle too. It is my constant companion during the lonely wee small hours. I love the fact there are so many free books to enjoy. I still have quite a few unread ones to see me through.
Yummy - there is something about the smell of warm toast and watching the butter melt into it. Making me feel hungry now.
Gosh that's a hard one ... I'm going to say internet.
Chocolate, books to distract me and my heat pack are all trying to be the one though.
However the internet helps me understand my condition and syptoms, it educates me on how to deal with the syptoms and potentially cure them (we all hope). It distracts me, lets me know I'm not alone and it helps me do the shopping which I can't get out to do. Big thank you to the inventors of the internet x
However, the internet doesn't taste as good as chocolate, it wears me out more than reading a book and the internet can't stop the pain in my back which is currently driving me nuts!
Yep - internet is a good one - we wouldn't be discussing this topic without it! Back pain is the pits it makes it so hard to get comfortable. The last time my back was bad I decided to have a long soak and got stuck in the bath - couldn't for the life of me get out of the bath on my own. Can see the funny side now but at the time it was awful. Perhaps a sense of humour is the one thing I can't do without!
Yup thats true. A sense of humour/being positive and hope!x
tea .i'm british
I,m a Brit too. I used to hate tea until recently when somebody made me one by mistake and being terribly British and not wanting to offend her I drank it and surprised myself actually enjoyed it.
oh god i love it i could give anything up but not tea .
Hi would say I could not live without my granddaughter and the laughter she brings with her.
Also I have just got two puppies and the calmness when there asleep on my knee seems to make the pain feel not so bad.
I couldn't do without a lovely summer evening sitting watching the sun go down.
Krissy x
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens, whoops! sorry, nope:
SUN is the one thing i find hard to live without...
I agree Maggers; was thinking the same, after the input re MSG...and wrote a long, boring vent on same....I'm beginning to think the same...what's left to eat/do....that doesn't give us a rebound? Do we eat/do what we enjoy, and suffer the consequesnces....or abstain from all? I'm interested in some ideas today, as am at bottom today....Bron
Thanks, TeresaJS; you made me pull up and stop feeling sorry for myself....we can enjoy looking at the simple things...and my cat is very special to me, too. Bron
Yep..me too....you guys, and this site bring me back to the reality of others' plights....so a 10 for the internet and humour..... thanks Maggers for this one today...seems you have reahed me on the very day I needed you......Bron
