Hi I have been on 10 mg citalopram for roughly 3 and a half weeks. I am so much better than I was but I still get anxiety and somtimes a huge panic and or anxiety attack. When will I really be me again. I know everyone is different but when can I expect to really feel good again?
10mg is a very low dose for citalopram. I'm pretty sure 20mg is the typical basic dose.
That said you should take your doctors advice.
For me it took around 3-4 weeks to take effect.
Hi I'm on 20mg and found it was 6-8 weeks to see some improvement! I've been on them for 10weeks now and still have some anxiety but it's getting loads better and the side effects like nausea is now starting to fade, 3 and half weeks is really early days! Keep going you will get there!
Keep hanging on there soon It's so gradual that you won't notice it Until one night you laugh & Laugh and somebody says your happy That's what happened to me It's a lovely feeling Yet you must remind your self this is a temporary fix the real Problem is in our heads So if you have any thing going on in there let it go It makes your recovery a lot quicker.
