What is this large lump on the shaft of the penis?

I am 20 years old male. it's been a very long time since I've noticed this lump on my penis, about 4 or 5 years. I've ignored it because I thought it was nothing to be concerned of but I've started to notice that the size has been increasing. There's no pain when I touch it or skeeze it, I am also able to move it around. But nevertheless I am very concerned to what it is. I am hoping it can be solved here because I don't want to go for check up as I am not comfortable with that.

If anyone has any idea what this might be, what has caused it, if it is dangerous or how it can be treated then please respond ASAP!

It may be a harmless cyst, but to have it treated you will need to go to a doctor.

Hi Yes like pep said its a sebaceous cyst now if its soft and with a clean needle past it through and get the puss out till it bleeds, run some Germoline into it should gone by the next day unless it comes back if just do the same.

Hi, thanks for your answer. I dont think its soft, when I touch it and squeeze at it, it feels like pretty solid. When you say soft do you mean soft like a spot?

You should never let anxiety or discomfort stop you from dealing with any health issue you have.  I do personally know that this is difficult showing your penis to someone else - but all medical professionals see dozens of male and female genitalia every week - all they want to do is sort people's medical issues for them.

In terms of cause, I would suggest this is often caused by accidentally or deliberately putting severe pressure on an area of the penis.  Many men in particular cultural and ethnic groups practice what is described as 'natural penis enhancement' known as Jelqing - this places considerable pressure within the penis, and, as I know from personal experience, it is all too easy to injure your penis in several different ways, one of which is to create a cyst.  For those who use the Jelq, you essentially need to learn how not to injure yourself ..... perhaps you got your injury in some other way .....

Try to overcome your discomfort. We all eventually need to trust professionals in the medical system to handle our genitals when necessary. I've had vasectomy, urinary catheters, and urology examinations and have always found the professionals are discrete, non-judgmental and caring of my feelings - emotional and physical. Have courage!

Haha, I've never practiced any penis enlargements. This has cyst has been on my penis for a very long time, I don't really know how it happened. But thanks.

I’ve got the same lump on almost the exact same spot. It feels like super hard cartilage under the skin. I’m 40 and its been there as long as I can remember, pretty much my whole life.
Ive been thinking more and more about getting it removed. Did you get it removed?
I’m not even sure what I should say it is to the doctor. I thought I was the only one who had this.

if its hard structure and even moveable but no itching no discomfort no bleeding then it may be smegmolith. you can search that word on google. basically it is a collection of smegma and after some time it gets hard and become stone like structure. smegma is non cancerous and its not a very serious or life threating problem.
