ive been dealing with this for months. this is the first reason to think i have herpes. this cut JUST appeared overnight. my other symptons are this: watery discharge, fish smell, yeast infections before AND after my period. the yeast infection caused so much itchyness i would scratch so much it would burn when i pee because of open wounds. this first started in Oct. 2020 when i got tonsilitis they prescribed me antibiotics that caused the first yeast infect that i thought was a std. got tested nothing but a yeast infection. i have not had sex AT ALL since Oct. 2020. got tested again in feb. 2021. nothing. symptoms persisted. they've died down a lil but this just appeared on me this morning. i know sometimes you can get cuts from herpes but also from yeast so im going to the doctor today while its still fresh to get an accurate culture swab. it only hurts a small bit, doesnt hurt to walk, sit, wipe, or pee. but i would like to add some months ive had some of those symptoms (not all at once) during my yeast infections (or what i thought was a yeast infection). mostly everything is pointing to yeast infection AND bv at the same time because i rarely hear of someone having an outbreak every month but i had one small bump before but it was a couple days after shaving(so much circumstantial stuff, i know) and i always get them, plus this cut is whats really scaring me. id like to add even when i dont have a fishy smell, my vagina doesnt smell like "vagina" if you know what i mean.
hi, sorry to hear that you have been having such a hard time with your vagina health. It sounds like you may have BV from the smell of it being not your normal smell you know. If it is not on the sweet side than its definitely going to be BV. it also does come back it not cured completely. A lot of people have such a hard time getting rid of it as its a vicious cycle. Have you been to your GYN/DR to see if they can test for BV ? The pic is not the clearest but i can see the lesion, Can you get a clear pic and possible zoomed in a bit more ?
Hey, sorry that you’re going through this! I had a bad case of tonsilitis 2 years back and the antibiotics messed me up. I got so itchy down there I really thought I had an STD as well, so you’re not alone in this.
I would not know why your cut appeared all of a sudden, but due to the fishy smell and itchiness, I’m inclined to say it can be both a yeast infection and bv. Hopefully you did go to the Dr and you were prescribed some meds! Keep us posted!
