i have this red spots on my groin for some time now. They usually appear and disappear. Sometime they are itchy. they appear only on my right groin. they are small now, but sometimes they’re bigger. I’m stressing about it a lot. Help me please!!
The most usual causes of red itchy patches in the groin are fungal. You should be able to buy Canesten ointment containing 1% Clotrimazole. Use as directed on the packet and this should clear up.If it doesnt seem to be clearing after 2 weeks use you could try Daktarin cream which is also for fungal infections on the skin. It may also help to wash the area with a dandruff shampoo that contains selenium sulphide as its active ingredient. Rub a little into the area, wait 2 minutes then wash off thoroughly. Then use the cream. Do this daily before bed.
If nothing seems to help then you may need to see your doctor for a further evaluation.
