what is this? loads of tiny dots in and above my beard. they arent like bumps they come off if i brush them off but then my face goes really red

I think its Seborrheic dermatitis. A bit like dandruff in your beard. Look for some shampoo with Ketoconazole as the active ingredient. If you are in UK you can buy Nizoral shampoo. Wash your beard and hair with this every day until it starts to improve. Then use it once per week.
