What is this?

I think I have depersonalisation but I'm not sure because I've been like this for 2 weeks or so now. I feel so out of it, everything looks a bit different than I remember, I don't feel real and I'm confused as to why I'm a human. It seems no one can really understand this and I feel so alone. I have irrational fears about time stopping or the end of the world too and I'm scared of sleep and death. Please I can feel myself slipping further and further down and I need some help. Thanks

its irrational thoughts n fears its ur mind doin overtime an playin on the fact u fear death its anxiety av u bin to ur gp

Hi:  Questions:  Have you recently gone thru a trauma -- death of someone close, accident where you or some one you know was badly injured, witnessed something that shocked you?  Sorry for all the questions but it seems as tho you are withdrawing from the world around you and also from yourself. Anxiety from a truama can certainly bring that on.  Now it seems as tho your thinking has been effected because of the anxiety.  My therapist use to call that stinkin thinkin  (end of the world, time stopping, afraid to sleep and of death.) with anxiety feeding on itself which only brings more anxiety.

You need intervention to stop the negative thoughts and change the path to positive thoughts.  You can help yourself doing that by asking why you feel the way you do.  When you get a thot, ask yourself why?  If you cannot come up with an answer then you need to reach out to others for help.  Counseling can be a great help and so can friends and family.  Don't be afraid or embarrassed to express your fears.

Since you know these fears are irrational yet you continue to think about them, you may have OCT = obsessive compulsive disorder that required therapy and some times medication.

Seek counseling now and the best of luck.

Hi, thanks for replying! To answer your question I haven't really had any traumatic experience recently. The only thing I could think of is the first panic attack I ever had which traumatised me in a way I suppose. What types of medications are used for OCT? I'm on Prozac for my anxiety already and I should be visiting my GP soon enough. Thanks again

Thanks for replying! yes I have been to my GP and will be going back soon enough
