I noticed this bump on my penis a week ago. At first I thought it was a HPV wart however from what I saw online those tend to be lighter in color and have multiple ones. Is this a black head or ingrown hair? I appreciate any replies.
The unfortunate thing is it could be any of these things. I would be tempted to put some liquid Anti-septic on this to see how it reacts. If you are in the UK the brand to look for is TCP - dab a bit on 2 or 3 times a day. This would certainly clear the blocked skin-pore and may help with an ingrown hair.
Obviously, if you are sexually active you need to take care of protection until you know what you are dealing with … if you start to believe it can only be HPV or other genital wart type condition, get it checked with a medical professional or dedicated sexual health service …
