What is this?!

I had sex and the day after had horrible burning pain in only one spot. I thought it was a yeast infection so got over the counter medication to help. It did not help. I went to the doctor and she thought it was bacterial vaginitis and was treated with antibiotics it still did not help. It is now day 16 of the burning pain. I also noticed these bumps. They have been there since the day after and have looked the exact same for 16 days now. But the pain seems to be coming from where these bumps are. I only have pain in one spot on the labia majora.

Hi, I don’t see anything looking like herpes sores or bumps in your picture. Unless you can enlighten us on something, I assume you’re talking about the small bumps at the left. These are Fordyce Spots/Oil glands and perfectly normal. They can look more elevated when irritated. 16 days is quite long for an outbreak and you should have noticed some kind of evolution of your sores by now.

It’s hard to say what is going on if you have already have been treated for yeast and BV. Your doctor should have performed a swab test for bacteria, candida and trichonomasis.

Do you feel a lump deep in your skin tissue, like a cyst?

You have to work by elimination. I suggest you do a full std panel test if it’s not already done to rule anything out. Take lukewarm baking soda bath and pain relief to help with the burning. Avoid any soap or perfumed product. You can apply hydrocortisone ointment to help with the inflammation. Wear loose clothing too.
