i am extremely insecure about my vulva and pubic area. Whilst i will be going to visit an OBGYN, i would like to know if anyone can share with me any insight.
notes:
i do not wax - last time i did got folliculitis
i shaved a lot, but no longer as much anymore
i normally just trim down the pubic hair
i tested positive for trichomoniasis at my last std test, all others were negative. (December)
i have to admit i do pick at these bumps alot
i also normally get a lot of bumps before my period.
It just looks like scarring from ingrown hairs, an unfortunate reality for many African Americans. I don’t think it’s STD related…
They look like ingrowns. Continue to not shave… and of course I’d say to also stop picking at them, it only makes it worse.
Time is the best healer. Also, I’d personally recommend topical benzoyl peroxide.
Just leave them be and they should go away after a while.
