I have an appt Aug 8th to see a dermatotogist. But that seems weird for something in my mouth??

Yo había visto a un médico de atención primaria y a un especialista en oído, nariz y garganta, un dentista y un patólogo oral hasta que finalmente me di cuenta de que debería ver a un dermatólogo y él fue quien pudo ayudarme. I have Vulva Lichen planus erosive and also Oral lichen planus erossive . I was seen by dermatologist first but they had never seen anything like it so I was referred to Gynaecology Speaiclist it was them that also diagnosed that I had oral lichen planus to I was referred to a oral specialist and I also monitored at a dermatologist clinic x

that makes sense to see an immunologist. And I guess that it is still skin in your mouth too. I'm so confused and just want to stop suffering. I have been dxed with olp, multi nodular goiter, vaginal atrophy which I wonder if that is not really also lp. I can barely eat right now. The gel the oral surgeon gave me does nothing.
No, el cirujano oral tampoco hizo nada por mí. Hasta que vi a un dermatólogo y él hizo una biopsia de mi boca, no conseguí el medicamento adecuado. Sí, el LP es miserable, solo sigue buscando. Tú eres tu mejor defensor de tu salud.
I recently when to a Rheumatologist because it was suggested to me to see that type of doctor beause they can test for many if all Auto Immune disorders that can be the cause of my OLP. i went on 7/18 and got the ball rolling by taking tons of blood and then started me on a medicatin called Hydroxychloroquine 200 mg ( twice a day) and I have to say, that although the sores in my mouth are still there in the far back ( molar area) they are less inflammed and also the swelling in my inner cheek area and less. I just ate bbq chips and with no pain when normally, I would eat them but felt like my inner cheek area was being cut open with glass. I know the mediation isn't for everyone but for those out there, think about seeing the Rhematologist too. I asked her if she sees people with OLP and she said she has a lot. That was a good sign. Now to get bloods results back and see what that has instore for me in regards to more medicaton but this is a real good start and happy to pass on so others can try same treatment.
No vi un Rhemy para OLP, pero sí vi uno para el síndrome de Sjögren, que es otro tipo de enfermedad autoinmune. Para OLP, obtuve los mejores resultados al visitar a un dermatólogo.

También me pareció extraño, pero es el especialista que trata la LPO. Lo sé porque al principio fui con un otorrinolaringólogo, dentista, patólogo oral y reumatólogo. No sabían nada sobre lo que me pasaba en la boca. Por eso busqué en internet a qué especialista debía acudir por la LPO y decía, dermatólogo y el mío ha sido mi mayor ayuda hasta ahora.

Cuerpo de 62 años. Eres un jovencito en mi libro. Tengo 72 años y sigo rodando. Por cierto, olvidé decir que el dermatólogo podría hacer una biopsia para asegurarse de que sea LPO. No hay de qué preocuparse, no es tan malo.

Acabo de darme cuenta de que la hidroxicloroquina es el genérico de Plaquenil. Luego recordé haber escuchado a muchas personas en este foro decir lo exitosas que habían sido con ese medicamento.
Pensé que la hidroxicloroquina era algo COMPLETAMENTE NUEVO. Contactaré a mi dermatólogo y le pediré una receta para hidroxicloroquina, ya que el medicamento que estoy usando (micofenolato) tiene tantos efectos secundarios terribles.
