What leisure activities help with MS?

Hi, I'm a student occupational therapist, and was wondering what leisure activities people do to help symptoms and why they do them i.e they enjoy them, reduces fatigue/pain.  Thanks.

I enjoy craft activities - patchwork and quilting, embroidery, and most recently crochet.  I had to retire from my job as a trainer for a charity, and making things for other people, especially with a charitable purpose, makes me feel useful.  I listen to audio books, or watch TV on my iPad while I'm making things.

I hate to say this, but I love to play Texas Holdem. I would play more often but the casino is a drive, and I don't have much disposable income. I read a lot of medical papers (for fun) and tawdry romance novels.

This question is hard for me MS has changed so much of what I'm capable of doing. I can tell you all of the things I used to do, but can't really tell you what I enjoy doing now. I haven't found what makes me happy in this strange body I'm stuck in.

Best regards,

Jessica

Thank you both for replying to my question! Was really helpful, may I ask how long you've both been diagnosed for?

I was diagnosed July 28, 2007.
