What might be the problem?

Hello!

I'm new to the site, so if I chose the wrong group or anything to start this discussion, I'm sorry.

My "problems" started last year August, when we were abroad. As soon as we arrived, I had to go to the toilet as soon as I just could... We were there for a week and after that week + 2 more weeks I had diarrhea. My GP said I must have been infected with some kind of tropic disease, hence our travel to Italy. My problems are now, the following ones:  sometimes I can't pass a stool even though, I know and feel that I need to empty my bowels.   I have pain in my lower right abdominal part.      Sometimes I have a bowel movement that is thinner than it usually is. Sometimes I have 4 or more bowel movement a day (for example, today I had 2 that I'd say was pretty normal in the morning, then I could only pass a small part, and now I had diarrhea).    If I haven't pooped in a day, and I would start to eat something, I just couldn't swallow the food, also sometimes I do need to eat, so I'll be able to poop.  Sometimes my whole lower abdomen is in pain(rare).  A few times I've shoved my finger up in my anal cavity (since it is in pain too), and in the higher area it was painful and my bloody. I have cancer? I'm 19 years old

Hi eeee0000eeee

Perhaps you need a change of diet...what is your diet like?...take fibre foods and plenty of water....you may have ibs -Irritable Bowel Syndrome...also i would refrain from prodding your anal cavity you could do more harm than good..There are other members on the forum that can help you with ibs..i'm sure they will reply to your post..best wishes.

You might have a fissure with all the bowel habit changes. Poking your finger into your anus might also have caused a fissure.  Was the blood bright red? At 19, cancer is rare.

If you caught a bug, sometimes this can turn into Post Infectious IBS and can cause your symptoms.  However, you should keep going back to your doctor and ask for tests and explain about the blood so you can get an accurate disgnosis.

You could just have a gi infection that will go away but you should see a doctor to be sure all is ok
