Just shoulder muscles? Shoulder muscles and back muscles? Chest? Anywhere else? Etc.
For me it's shoulder, pectoral, and under the armpit that experience regular spasming with frozen shoulder.
Hope you make a speedy recovery, Constantine.
Thank you. I too have chest tightness. It is the pec minor and lower fibers of pec major), as well as chronic tightness in L lattisimus Doris muscle, which together laterally pull the left side of my ribcage down.
I also have tightness in L Rhomboids, which restricts the mobility of my thoracic spine rotation to the R during gait. Which in turns effects other muscles in my body because my gait is impacted on one side.
Any additional information would be appreciated, so I can find out what my condition is.
Thanks!
I get tightness on compleat left flank front and back.
Thanks for the information Cindy. What movements are restricted for you, and do you have pain?
Excellent blog written by a Frozen Shoulder survivor.
Yes, I read this too and resonated with it. I am on my second frozen shoulder, the left is 11 months in and the right about 6 weeks.
Like the woman who wrote the blog, I have found that for me Physical Therapy only aggravates it. My 11 month old FS has gone past the pain stage after about 3 months, now is only painful if I really overuse it (which I have done a bit since now the right is frozen) so I am mindful to rest it and to ask my partner for help with pretty much everything. I still have quite limited ROM but better than the beginning and steadily improving, the pain going away is the most important thing to me!
My PT in Florida (for another issue) said that it will go away on its own, her estimate was 18 months or so, so I was prepared for the long haul. She warned against any type of aggressive approach as that could cause further damage. I agree with her.
My neck and traps are sore and achy a lot. I had a neck x-ray and it showed a good curve and no arthritic changes, so it must be the FS causing it.
Though I am tempted at times to try acupuncture and/or cortisone shots, or hydrodialation, I am going to wait this out.
How is your FS doing? Are you also doing nothing?
