Oh ask for physio it very often isn't offered.

Hello jesdica. While I am still on the special shoes to maintain 'heal walking' the hospital physio have focused on progressing from walking sticks to walking without them. I will ask more on Tuesday at my follow-up. My worjs occupational health physi has focused on maintaining good posture to avoid causing problems with ankles, knees, hips and back. I am still on a learning curve but have found the following effective: focus on good balance from stomach muscles before doing anything. Breath in on the easy things and breath out on the though, painful things. Lay stomach down on your bed with feet hanging over the edge so that you can flex your ankles and if possible bend you feet back towards your bottom. This works ankles and thighs. I also find a few pilates movements for arms and back help. I also gentle storke my feet down from toes to heels to relieve aches and tingles. Everything depends on what you were doing before your surgery so a little and often to keep things from stiffening up. But actual frequency I was assured is a leart art. Action with no pain meens you are doing enough. Action leading to pain meens backing off and letting things rest. Hopevsomevof this is helpful.

Thanks will do.

Have alot of questions want to ask at pre op...like to be thorough lol.
