I don't know where to start, but I just need some advice to cope with this and determine if this is really just anxiety. I've always had anxiety but it's gotten a lot worse since April. My heart rate went up to 160 and it scared me so bad I went to the E.R which has thrown me into major depression and panic attacks daily. I've always worried more than the average person about my bodily health so any bodily sensation makes me panic but it's gotten so bad I will not leave the house, drive, work or do anything hardly. I am constantly on edge and checking how I feel. I feel like I can't get back out of this hole that I am in right now. I can't enjoy life right now and I am only 22. I have a 1 year old which makes me feel guilty. I should be out making her life the best possible and I can't get out of bed some days. I don't know how I felt so normal and healthy 2 1/2 months ago and now this. I've had bloodwork and heart tests and all came back fine. I just didn't think anxiety could feel this miserable all the time. I've been prescribed medication but I have a fear of medication so I haven't taken it yet. Which makes me feel alone because everyone around me just screams take the medication. I actually want to. I am just terrified of it. Also I can't figure out if this is low blood sugar or just a panic attack? I get shaky and jittery in my arms and legs, my heart races, feel like I can't catch my breath, extreme nervousness and panic, and an awful gut feeling like I need to eat. I have no known blood sugar issues. What does that sound like a panic attack or low blood sugar? Any advice to get through this helps. Thanks
Your not alone I am in a very similar position it sucks but I've been told it will get better xxx
Thank you. I hope things get better for you!
have your doctor check your blood sugar level. Then you will know for sure if it's that. If that's OK then work on the anxiety management. Speaking with the counselor helped me a lot. Also YouTube has meditations for anxiety that help a lot! Just search for a guided meditation's for anxiety.
all anxiety starts in the brain so you need to calm down the brain for the symptoms to go away. Any symptoms related to anxiety cannot hurt you! They feel weird in our scary but that is all they can do.
try not to overreact to symptoms because that will make them worse.
Thank you for the reply. They haven't checked that specifically but I have once on my own in the morning before eating and it was 70 and gotten blood work a few weeks later and it was 99 on the blood work and that was taken at night. I'm not sure about what is good numbers or not. I haven't taken it consistently. I will definitely try the meditation. I have never tried it before. I am comfortable knowing the anxiety symptoms can't do any real harm, but I am just having a hard time believing that it is just anxiety. I feel like since I have been to the doctor for anxiety that they don't take me seriously about any real concerns I have and just assume it's the anxiety. Thanks again!
