Hello all!
I've got blonde hair, blue eyes and therefore quite a few moles. I'm 25 but did have quite a few bouts of sunburn growing up, which obviously hasn't helped matters. As I've got older I've wised up and tried to stay out the sun, but obviously a lot of damage has already been done unfortunately.
For the last maybe 10 years (as far back as I can remember) I've had this very obscure looking thing on my head. I think I always knew it was there, but have only recently asked people to start looking at it and have had some 'surprised' responses. I always assumed it was just a raised mole, so I asked someone to photograph it and I myself was surprised and shocked to see how it looks.
My question is: what is it, and should I be worried at all?

Regarding the spot on your head, if it is 'shocking', definitely let a professional look at it. Perhaps it needs to be removed before it turns into something harmful. Moles have a reputation for changing/growing. Since you are only 25, most likely you can catch the problem before it becomes bad. Best wishes.
Doesn't matter what colour you are! If you spend large amounts of time exposed to the sun without adequate protection, your skin will be damaged. As Curious has written, think you need to see your GP asap! Melanoma's caught early usually can be treated successfully.

Hi Bob, I would go and see a doctor for your peace of mind if nothing else. Has the size or shape changed over the years? I agree with Curious about having it removed.
I was able to look at the picture using your second link. I have never heard of imgur and it certainly was interesting!!
I agree, it does look like a cauliflowered shaped wart, and can be easily removed at your Dr.'s office I am sure. Good luck
