I've been on klonpins for about 3 months for my severe anxiety and I ran out today not sure how the pharmacy must have shorted me some . but I'm so scared my bad anxiety will cone back in the next few days and a bunch more bad symptoms I'm very scared I will start withdrawing can someone please give me advice
Hi Cody,
don't panic. You've got the medication in your system. You'll be fine. Call your doc and get a refill no big deal. It happens all the time.
Best, linda
I'm not due for a refill for a few more days I'm mainly scared I'll start having panic attacks again and withdrawls
Hi Cody,
do you have a refill on file at the pharmacy? If so, you can fill it a week or more before you are out. If not, call your doc tomorrow and he or she will fax it in to the pharmacy.
Best,
linda
I didn't no that thanks for the info
Hi Cody,
Glad I could help. It's always best to make sure you fill your prescription a week or so before you are due - that takes the stress out of things. Are you doing well on your meds. i sure hope so.
Best,
linda
To reassure, klonopin has what they call a long half life. It can take up to 18 hours to be out of your system, depending on your metabolism of course. Contact your doctor ASAP to get refills, so you can get peace of mind.
I have a Dr app Thursday and I have to go to Dr for them to give me a refill I'm scared what will happen between now and then
Well I know that you may, that is a big MAY be uncomfortable, but you will not die. You have survived this long, I have faith that you will make it till you see you doctor. We have to accept that anxiety is UNCOMFORTABLE, but will not kill us. Find ways to sooth your anxiety thinking in the mean time. Do things you get pleasure from doing, when you are not doing things you have or need to do.
Hi Cody, did you tell the doctor's off ice you are out of meds? Usually they will call it in for you. Also, if you tell the pharmacist you are out of meds and have an appointment on Thursday, they will usually give you a few pills to hold you over till your appointment.
Best,
Linda
