My mom is infected with this skin disease on her back; I thought it would be good idea to post and ask what this is before she consults the doctor she made an appointment with tomorrow. She told me it feels itchy and of course, painful especially when water gets on it. If you have any knowledge or familiar with this thing, can you tell me the name of this skin disease and what food to avoid, plus the symptoms.

Hi, it is difficult to see what it is, it looks as though you were too close when you took the photo.
It will be interesting to hear what the doctor says tomorrow.
Just a guess: could be beginning of shingles. Needs lots of B vitamins - to supplement whatever the doctor gives to her. If it is shingles, she needs to improve her immune system. Go to health food store and find supplements that say they will help the immune system. Please let us know what it turns out to be - good luck!!!
