Hello everybody,
I’m a 22 years old homosexual man and I have the following problem.
A week ago some redness appeared on my glans and it just doesn’t go away. It itches sometimes and that part of the glans become more sensible when I masturbate. The smell of my glans did not change and there is no discharge from the spot either.
I would rule out STDs because I haven’t had any unprotected sexual intercourse for over a year now and I tested negative for HIV last year. I got a boyfriend recently but he is a virgin and we only did oral sex so far.
why? Because your new partner. Yep. The mouth has millions of bacteria and it is not necessarily the same in genitals.
When your have any type of oral intercourse (in this case oral sex) there is a huge exchange in bacteria everywhere and from/to both sides.
It is your body taking actions against new bacteria which is growing up faster than others.
This is a common action of your immune system. It will eventually heal by its own.
You shouldn’t be worry unless you start to see a discharge or anything different than before like going piss more frequently, burning or waking up several times in the night to go piss. Or, any other changes in sperm consistency or colour (yellow), discomfort in the testicles etc.
