I am almost 20 weeks post op. I a leggings and tops girl but since my op I haven’t been able to wear them. I have even bought a larger size but the elastene fit gives me so much pain.
Anyone any idea why I am in pain if I wear anything which fits onto my leg 😢
Hi
Maybe you should get checked if the area is still so sensitive. I wore dresses or maxi dresses as it was too sore for leggings.

I got harem pants! Ordered them from Amazon. Really different and cute! The nurses at the hospital said these pants were PERFECT for ladies who have hip replacements .(I had both of mine done at the same time.)
Probably sensitivity on the quad post op. I noticed I am very sensitive on my right quad, my op side. I am super sensitive on that side... almost painful
Hi catt1,
I have not tried to put leggings on yet as I still have tingling around the scar area and cannot lift my leg up enough yet to put sock on operated leg or anything tight p. As you are about 3 weeks ahead of me it gives me hope I will be able to lift the leg higher quite soon.
Thanks for your kind words. Fed up of wearing dresses going to look for Harlem pants x
I sympathise! Hopefully the tenderness will pass though I had similar problems with my hysterectomy scar which are still an issue almost twenty years later
I wore a size larger pants for some time after surgery. Was more comfy. At home I wore lounge pants almost all the time. Even at 6+ months I have thigh numbness and it will hurt with tighter pants, depending on the material.
Gosh. You sound like you have super sensitive scars. Bugger. I've been wearing my normal leggings from week 4 but they are cotton. No elastin.
Around home I wear cotton track pants/leisure wear. Harem pants sound good. Try some funky patterned material to cheer you up. Happy shopping.
Oh dear seems like a change is needed x
