Hello,
I’ve recently broke off a part of my tooth - Imgur: The magic of the Internet - so I booked in to see my dentist but they couldn’t get me in until 5th December. They told me to see if I could get in any sooner with a different dentist which I did.
The dentist said I had bad decay (which is most likely due to all of the sugary drinks I had when I was younger) and he gave me a temporary filling after cleaning the decay until I could see my actual dentist on the 5th.
I was just wondering what treatment would be used? I think I’d prefer a crown but I don’t know if my dentist would do it and if it was possible. I spoke to someone else online and they said that a large filling would be done but a crown lasts longer. If I ask my dentist, then would they give me a crown?
Also, I had the filling yesterday and I’m still feeling some pain in my tooth and in another tooth - I’ve read something online after referred pain but just wanted to know if it was normal and when should I get worried?
Thank you.
