I've been back on citalopram since October of 2015 and I've been doing so much better. But I've also moved up to 40 mg so I'm already at the max. During the past few months of this new year I've got on birth control and a few days ago I got Propranolol for stage anxiety. But I noticed for the past few weeks (and it's still going on), I've been sleeping so much and I realized that I feel a little dull. Sometimes I want to start crying but I can't really cry anymore unless something is really wrong. My psychiatrist said she wanted me to get my blood drawn to check up on all these things, and she said she will consider giving me a vitamin D supplement because I am very pale and I don't get much sunlight at all. But I am very concerned with my sleeping so much, and I've been missing school because of it, and when I wake up, I don't really have any motivation to get up and go. It's really bringing me down because I want to get stuff done. Can anyone give me some advice? Thank you!
Citalprom can take time to kick in, maybe u should take your tablets, an hour before bed like l do, u are on the right sight.
Make sure your doctor checks your thyroid. Tiredness is definitely a symptom of hypothyroidism. Also, since you just started taking birth control pills, sometimes it takes the body a little while to figure it all out. I am on hormone replacement and have been told that it can take 3 months to stabilize. Do you get enough iron and Vitamin B?
These are just some quick thoughts I have off the cuff. I am glad your doctor is involved and wants bloodwork done.
Thank you for your input! I'm going to get my blood taken on Monday morning. I looked up symptoms of hypothyroidism, and some symptoms I've had are tiredness, anxiety, depression, and dry skin. I really need to get Vitamin D and take other vitamins. I'm always so terrible with taking vitamins but I would rather be happy and healthy than like this!

Bee look into Cognitive behaviour therapy great for anxiety thinking strategies to help you understand and to qualify racing thoughts and to relax this will in time start proving very beneficial, that with medication and the right dosage will work sometimes there are issues of adapting and trial and error what works especially when there is interaction with other meds birth control etc. Hang in there keep focused that you will be ok
