Long story shor: I was diagnosed fibroid recently back in October 2017. The ER referred me to see OB/GYN so I did. I don’t feel any pain nor have heavy pms. I failed to conceive twice or third time. I tried to follow the ovulation calendar and nothing work. I thought it was my boo because I never have a problem with my body. After I found out I had fibroid and I was very devastated. I end up crying all day. I took me right into depression. My doctor asked me why am I here? Fibroid and I wanted to have kids. My doctor said that I need to get removed or you can cause to have miscarriage. They prepared me to have an open myomectomy surgery after thanksgiving & three days after birthday(depressing). Not a great feeling when I woke up. I am on week recovery from my surgery. The pain feeling little less but the shooting pain in my stomach is killing me geez. My boo want to have it now and told him he have to wait until I am 100 % completely heal. After six weeks over, my man is going to go crazy lol. I had been researching that fibroid will grow back fast...... have to wait 6 months to conceive...... uterine will mess up if you have sex after surgery. I am mind blogging if I should wait 6 months. I’m afraid it will be too late because fibroid will grow fast at that time. Have you experience pregnant after six weeks surgery?
It can take up to 5 years to grow back to the point of having symptoms with multiple fibroids having been removed and up to 10 years if you have only had one removed. 6 months is recommended as you can really damage your womb and open the scars that have been made in the womb from surgery. My gyne told me this 13 weeks ago when I had open myomectomy. Speak to your gyne and they will tell you the same. Don't believe everything you read and always query it with a professional if you see something and have questions
Well my doctor told me to wait 6 months but 1 year to be safe. Your uterus has to fully heal so it’s stronger enough for you to carry. I know you’re eager but don’t rush it and then end up having complications that could’ve been prevented.
I saw my Surgeon on the 6th Dec and he booked me for an open myomectomy(4 fibroids that we know of) During the appt he told me to wait 3 months after surgery to ttc😱. I’ve read others have been advised to wait between 6-12 months but even if they grow back they aren’t normally as big my Surgeon said. Unfortunately some people are unlucky and they grow back within months but that is probably rare. I’d say just tell your doctor before you do ttc. No matter how quick you decide to do it.
I forgot to mention that My doctor discovered 7 fibroid : 4 big ones and 3 small ones. I was so shocked to found out I have them. Even my family can’t believe it.

Everything look good as my doctor stated. I will go back in 4 weeks. I am on my 3rd week of recovery of fibroid surgery. I will have to take it easy. I didn’t have a chance to ask question. I will most def. ask when I go back in 4 weeks. Myself as a deaf person, I must have interpreter there so I can be able to understand.
