I've been up since 3am when I had some acid reflux and I'm on a ppi. I've freaked out since then windering why it's not working. I think I'm gonna fall asleep and then my heart beats fast and I panic. I have to breathe deeply and then the panic subsides but I can't seem to fall back asleep. Every morning I've been waking up between 4-6 am so this is earlier for me. I am still constantly worrying even when I shouldn't be.

It sounds like you are thinking about what has gone on earlier in the day where you wake up and cannot sleep. Try not to worry or chew over the days problems when you go to bed, chewing over the day will stop you sleeping.
The past is gone, the future is on its way look forward to new positive activities you will take part in, move on

I'm still thinking of health issues and everything else. I'm obsessing over them. I think I need doctor's appointments every week. I never used to be this way and I used to love sleeping.
Kim
Anxiety Patients obsess over their health and assumed medical conditions, the appointments you keep taking are valuable and may be needed by someone who is ill. We all need to understand we do not need to keep seeing the Doctor most occasions we can treat ourselves. We keep chasing up a rare or valuable resource. A chemist may be able to help.

I'm in the US and we don't have chemists here. I wonder what the equivalent would be...
Do you have Pharmacies ??
BOB
Yes, I figured that was the same but I've seen chemists in movies getting essential oils together and things like that. Ours don't do that. Lol.
Kim, with your health anxiety, doctors can only do so much. All they end up doing is either prescribing something to relax you or suggest getting counseling. I highly advise that you find a good counselor to discuss all of your anxieties and fears with. They can really help you get a grip on this. Just let it all out and if feels really good to vent to somebody in person who can help you come up with a plan to control your health anxiety. It really helped me!
many people on this site are reading a book called mindfulness. It teaches you how to separate fears and anxieties from yourself and give you back peace of mind. It’s definitely worth reading. It helps you get rid of the negative thoughts that turn to fear. There’s also many mindfulness meditation on YouTube for anxiety that could help also.
Thank you Jan I plan on seeing a counselor very soon. I definitely need to make an appointment. I am working on all of my issues. And I am trying not to worry so much but it is easier said than done. I need to check out the meditations maybe I can do that when I get home tonight.
