Hi Everyone, I'm home. My Surgeon removed my womb, said it was extremely low and in the wrong place, he stitched up the bladder and the bowel very high and tight and then because he thought my womb was in perfect condition, he stitched it back in place very high up. He is as pleased as punch! I have over 1,000 stitches so I have to be very careful, but it is so wonderful not to have everything 'not going' but 'gone south'. Thank you all for your good wishes.
Well that was different. I came home yesterday. I had a terrible time. Took a reaction to the anaesthesia which caused me to become really sick and with a high fever started to shake. Anyway everything has been removed and I even started getting hot flushes today. I can only take minimal pain relief which is causing me some distress just now. Anytime I try anything stronger I feel sick. In saying all that my scar is really nice looking. About 8 inches along my bikini line. Anyway it's still early days so I need to take it easy. It really was quite traumatic for me. Thank god it's all over. Poppy keeps asking to sit on my knee and I have to keep telling her she can't. Shame. Keep in touch Jacqui. I'm off to bed xx
Taking things very slowly, having a little walk then a rest. I am very pleased I can get most of the meals sorted out with a little help from Ian. Neighbours are all dog walking for us at the moment which is a real help.
