Hi Andrea

I guess it's different with everyone, but I found that taking them at night seemed to affect my sleep so took mine in the morning (was also easier to remember to take them - I get woken up by Radio 4 and I know that as soon as \"Thought For The Day\" came on that I needed to take them! So now I have a sort of Pavlovian reaction to Thought For The Day!)

Now though I'm on a higher dose so I take one in the morning and one in the evening. But the sleep thing doesn't seem to be too much of a problem - I think that was just side effects while my body got used to them.

Hope that helps. And hope you're getting used to the drug OK and side effects are not too bad.

Hi,

I was also wondering what the best time to take them. I took my first yesterday mid am, and could not sleep last night. Is it best to take first thing?

Also felt sick, had a headache and felt dizzy during the day also.

Like to hear other experiences

hi,

ive now been on setraline fro 6 weeks.firstly stared on 50mg but now on 100mg and finally feeling better.

I initially started taking them at night for the 1st week but noticed that my sleep was being affected, so i now take them when i wake. Sadly that it my main side effect insomnia so i feel awakw and wide until 3am then sleep until midday.

Although have had 2 nights this week where in bed for 11 - so i m hoping things will even out and get my body into a routine.

At the end of the day it is like anything you try for new, it is hit and miss until you find what is best for you - and the way i look at it is i feel so much better i know my sleep pattern will sort out in time :-)

take care
