Just starting on 10mg, I have been suffering with anxiety/panic attacks which stop me from sleeping.
I was on 10mg 18months ago and after 12 months felt great and came off, but all has now returned although not so bad, but I now know the signs, I think I took them in the morning but not sure.
Any thought's on best time.
Thanks.
I take mine in the morning as found i could not sleep if i took them at night. My GP also said that morning was better. Thou i expect some people find night time better.
Thanks both, confirms what I was thinking.
I started taking in the morning but changed as I kept feeling awful most of the day. Chemist advised to try at night then I might have slept of worst of it. It works better for me then everyone is different. Due to chronic pain over the last 20yrs I have been on anf off cita . Like you when I felt better I would wean off them only to fall back. Dr said since I was draining the serotonin from my brain I have to accept as a lifelong solution. Unfortunately I didn't listen and yet again have had to restart tho the time off has extended. Not just as bad as no bad panic attacks but have resigned myself to keep taking in small dose 10mg and hope that doesn't need to increase. It's good you recognise the signs as that took me a long time . Good luck and hope you feel the benefit soon x
I get sleepy so I take mine with my tea so I have a full stomach also
Hi Roy,
If you were on (only) 10mg (lucky you) before, and it did the job, maybe you should have stayed on 10mg as that may be all you needed. It appears coming off had an adverse affect.
I was a daytime taker of Cita, but due to horrendous multiple and vivid dreams a kind soul here suggested taking it at bedtime. This I did and haven't looked back as after a short while I didn't get drowsiness or other side effects during the day as Cita was working on a relaxed mind during sleep.
It does no harm at all to try different times until you find the best for you.
Perhaps this time if 10mg works stay on it for the time being!
Good luck either way, look forward to more posts. Now you know where we are keep in touch, keep asking!
Best Regards,
David
So far so good taking tablets in morning, 3 so far, feel a bit jittery bodywise but not to bad, sleeping well with the aid of 3.75mg zopiclone that the GP gave me to get me through this early period.
I am fortunate that I am not depressed, therefore I can lead a normal life, it is just the anxiety about sleeping that has got to me.
Slight blurred vision his morning!!
When I took them in the morning I got vertigo.
