When tapering off a ssri how long does it take until

Hi there I have been on Serzone for 1 1/2 months and finished my taper. I’m still lightheaded though.  Does anyone know when I can expect this feeling to go away? Has anyone experienced affects after they’ve tapered after such a  small amount of time being on a drug. Thanks

these type of drugs are designed to make your mind less racing so when the weight of the drug is lifted then you are bound to feel more lively. You should return to a more balanced self again  after a while providing there is no mental setback but I hope you do well.

Thank you. Yes this drug made my mind race more because of the side effects and worries. It also made me feel like electricity running through my body in the mornings.  Prozac never did this to me in the past. Serzone did.

I hope the clonapin will balance out me getting off this drug for a while.

Thank you

prozac being an antidepressant slows the synaptic node reactions  in the brain . It looks like you had excessive brain activity so maybe an antianxiety mixed with antidepressant may have worked better. Hard to say really.

Yes I think the course of action is just to calm me down with clonopin and decide if I need to get on my old ssri. It worked before I guess it will again I’m hoping but now obviously scared if it doesn’t I’m screwed.

I was on Zoloft for a week and it took about 2 weeks for me to feel normal again. I was on a small dose too but it just wasn't something my body and brain liked! I would give it at least as long as you were on it for the effect to wear off.

Oh boy I was on it for 2 months. But I'm also on clonopoin but I think Its the anxiety giving me symptoms not the serzone I was on. I will just keep up the clonopin for a few weeks and see how I feel.

Yeah I had to use visatril to help calm me when I went off it. Anxiety is the worst especially when you get physical symptoms. Just try to relax when you can and find something that can pull you out of a spiral. You’ll get there!
