when to change meds. 7 weeks not long enough ?

I feel iv asked lots of questions and the support has been great thank you.

I'm wondering when you should change meds as you have given them a good trail and not better?

7 weeks on fluoxetine and they have helped I'm more functional and concentration is a lot better but I still feel spaced out all the time like I'm floating about and not taking life in at all its destressing feeling because I'm missing out.

Questions is can I still get better the longer I take the fluoxetine or is it what it is at 7 weeks. If the meds are making me spaced out and always will then I need new ones. I'm also getting bad headaches again.

Thank you for sharing your experiences

Hey Hun hope your well.

I'm nearly 6 weeks & DR said it can take upto 6 weeks but I think I need to up my dosage some days so wen I'm back from Ireland I'm going to go in and ask.

Maybe you should go back & tell them about spaced out feeling I don't get that anymore.

Xx

I think you should be starting to feel a lot better from 3 to 7 weeks on the drug the dr has put you on.  You should talk to your dr about how you feel because it sometimes takes a couple of changes to get the right medication. Do you think this is as good as you are going to feel or do you feel as if things are gradually improving for you?

I can't do much till after the baby but I'm seeing my gp later on. Iv bad headaches again now too its so up and down. I think I'd feel fine if spaced out feeling went x

Deffo go back if it's not going away. Good luck xx it is horrible xx fingers crossed xx

Things have improved they are doing a job for sure but I'm spacey and tension headaches need to rest a lot but then I'm heavily pregnant so that won't be helping. I feel like my brain is frozen up. I don't cry all the time I wouldn't say I'm depressed just feel rough and weird

Its improved but not gone away. Msybe

Its just so so slow its hard to notice but they have helped but I feel weird x

It could be because the birth is close.  It could be your hormones making your brain feel dull?  Even people who aren,t depressed feel a bit spaced out and wierd in the final month of pregnancy.  Its like your brain goes into nurturing mode and forgets to be in practical, logical mode.  Just try to get through til baby arrives then see how you feel then.  If you need help to cope then your dr sounds like he will do everything he can to help you.  You are lucky he has personal knowledge of your issues. So sorry this is not where you wish you could be right now but I am glad you are feeling some benefits.

Thank you! Hopefully it is the pregnancy. I'm so tired and lazy. 7 sleeps till my section so I need to carry on forwards and maybe in a weeks time I'll b more improved x
