that does not help, just want to know if it should be taken at night or in the morning.as i wake at night with my heart pounding and my head throbbing
My mother used to take hers just before going to bed because she thought they might make her feel dizzy. However after getting an extreemly dry mouth and feeling the skin might be peeling off, she changed to taking them after breakfast or midday, or occasionally in the evening if she'd forgotten it. Doesn't seem to make much difference, except for the dry mouth. Do you suffer from sleep apnea? You could be waking with a start, heart pounding if you had stopped breathing. You could ask your doctor to be refered to a sleep clinic for tests. Good luck.
Hi, my doctor told me to take Amlodipine first thing on waking, with water. She said BP is highest at this time so that is what I do. I have it ready alongside a glass of water and that's it. You must take it at about the same time each day and not at different times of the day. I have sometimes got a dry mouth at night but I just have a drink of water (by the bed) and that's it. Not a problem and my BP is controlled.
i wasnt sure if this was ever answered but i just started the meds for migraine treatment and it gives me a terrible headache, just wondering if you had ever had any luck with taking it other times of the day. i have noticed it is not as bad if i eat with the medicine but i have only been on it a little over a week, maybe a week and a half. thanks!
