where do the spasms come from ?

Hi folks

it seems like many my story starts with a car accident, saw the other vehicle about to hit in the rear me at speed. This caused flashbacks from that night onwards, post traumatic stress disorder soon diagnosed, while the Fibro issues were swept under the carpet by me for a long time, till I could ignore them no more, spoke to the trauma clinic and GP, had the ussual tests and Fibromyalgia diagnosed.

Aches and pains etc change all the time, could not use a stick to walk as my hands hurt.

Anyway reason for this posting is, soon after the accident I thought someone had hit me solidly in the lower back (as per the accident), since then I often get these feelings, very physical, but I also get like electric shocks or spasms that make me jump, physically, they are very strong, make me really think something has hit me and are worse if I relax.

Now, I cannot find this symptom anywhere, read books and the internet. Does anyone else get these jumpy, physical shocks at all, and is it the Fibro or ptsd causing it ?

Best wishes to you all.

thought i would post a wee note to say i also get those sharp stabbing pains in my back.im at the moment lying on the sofa with extreme back ache today. i use a crutch but somedays i cant because my hands are so sore. even after i use it my hand is aching for hours. my new symtom is my left wrist keeps twiching on its on.. do u experience that...

hope all the people on hear are not in to much pain today. keep smiling folks xx

thanks for the response Di, much appreciated.

I have been getting \"twitching\" in various parts for a while now, worse when I try and relax, such as when I go to bed, my arms and legs can jump about. I am struggling to understnad the reason behind this, how on earth can the brain make the body do things ?

Have tried to find out the cause of them, reading up on the internet in the library and so on, but there is no mention that I can find. Asked the GP, but all I got was a puzzled frown, then again, I dont suppose they get many people complaining of these symptoms.

Look after yourselves folks.
