been very quiet on here lately. Are u all cured ? I hope so, but doubt it !!
Mine has not been too bad for a few days but back today with a vengeance.
Terrible pain, unsteady on feet etc etc.
you have asked the question i have been thinking, i check everyday and there is no-one here? were are they all. i have been suffering myself for weeks now, its one step forward and another step back. i thought things might get better over the nice weather but not a bit of it. i have been bed bound for weeks and no light at the end of the tunnel but at least i now have a date to see my new neurosurgeon. i hope everyone is ok and feeling well and enjoying the good weather.

I haven't been here for a few days as my hubby changed things on my computer and i lost the link....I knew i could easily find it again, i just hadn't got around to it..... :roll: I was checking in here every day too, but things went very quiet.....I hope everyone is well.....Chris...Im sorry that you haven't been doing very well.... I have not been bed ridden as such, but i have been in a lot of pain for months..... It gets pretty exhausting..... I have found that i have been having regular 'meltdowns' I call them....when i have a big cry and just can't cope with the pain and headaches.....They are a weekly occurance these days... :evil: The other day I was soooooo mad that i couldn't do a simple thing like change the sheets on my bed....I am normally a placid person, but that day i was yelling and screaming at my hubby and anyone who came near me...my hubby offered to help me in a very gentle voice, so i allowed him to help.....(it was too painful for me to do it alone anyway...but i was mad!!!) After we got the bed changed and all nice and neat, i was much calmer.... Its just soooo frustratng sometimes!!!!! Im sure you all know what i mean.

Still here and looking for messages every day. But it does seem to have become very quiet lately. So, let's hope that, between the three of us, we can give this forum a kickstart. In regular contact with another member of this board. As he gets to hear all of my moans and groans, I haven't bothered to bore the rest of you with my troubles. Basically have had good and bad spells over the past few weeks. Managed to enjoy some of the hot weather but suffered for it afterwards.
I'm still here too. been too bad to post over the last acouple of weeks :evil:
So much for stopping my meds :roll: seems I got to the 3rd week and all hell broke loose, oooooh :o it's been painful I've also been suffering with throat, chest, earache, and sinuses :roll: So I could have a had a flare up :evil:
The upside to things is I went to the hospital yesterday for injections in my lower back (yes, I have it there too) :evil: so I'm a bit more comfy in the nether regions today TG.

i know this might seem really sad but i am so pleased to have heard from you guys. i have been checking everyday , and hoping to see some contact from anyone. idk8000 glad to see you back, i hope you are ok, if you need to talk i am always online. i have had these meltdowns , especially today , i do the why me cry. i have started with my panic attacks again ,everything is going backwards, i have pains in so many places now that i am fed up to thee back teeth. well i am pleased to see everyone keep your chin up bye for now chris xx

Chris, I reckon a good cry helps, between the pain, stiffness, dizziness, frustration etc, etc, I think we're allowed to clear our heads every now and again. I hope you are feeling much better today and send you my good wishes for some pain free time soon.
Going to witter for a minute or two, please bear with me, a few months ago I started to feel really well, them bam!! It hit me again, I've been thinking really hard and the only reason I can come up with is...... I was taking quite a lot of vitamins at the time and suddenly stopped them because I felt ok, just wondering if it is this could be the reason. so I'm going to start back on them asap.
I'm wondering if our immune system is compromised? I have been constantly under the weather lately and have had probs with my sinuses, throat, chest etc. Anyone have any thoughts on this??

Chris....I know how you feel, mate....I have been having weekly 'meltdowns' lately.... ALL of it gets to you...constant pain, having to take meds, people not understanding our pain, just getting thru a day is hard sometyimes!!!!!!! You are also dealing with the fact that you have finally been heard and are being sent to a Neuro...that in itself can make you relieved, yet emotional as well..... Sending you BIG HUGS if thats ok.... :hug: I check in here most days, so even if you want to PM me and have a rant, thats fine by me...I am home and off work, so I mostly only go out to Physio. Doctor and accasionally visit my family....I dont have much of a social life.... :roll:
Aunty Em.... I believe that our immune system is affected by this.... Probably because our body has to cope with a lot.... pain.....we take meds...stress/ depression...all of these things can take its toll on our immunity...... I am fighting off a chesty/throat thing at the moment...I really don't want to go on anti biotics as my body doesn't like them..... :oops: :roll: I am taking lots of vitamins and seem to be winning at the moment..... :D I have also started taking Zinc tablets as i read that we should before our surgery....Im just being positive that it will be approved and happen soon!!!!! :wink:

hi anty em and jass, you have brought up a valid question the last couple of attacks have included a ridiculously sore throat, accompanied by swollen glands?????. it is something new yet again, my immune system is already compromised twice over, so this is a possibility, maybe something to ask the neurosurgeon. has anyone else noticed that it always come in waves, mine is afew weeks at a time, then i will be ok for maybe a week or more, no idea what sets it off, my mum always asks what have i done but i cant give an answer. anyway so pleased to see almost everyone back, were is gerry?????. bye for now chris x

Hi all
I am new to this site, I was diagnosed with spondylosis earlier this year. It had been much better lately, my chiro is very good. But had a session at the dentist two days ago, an hour and a half in the chair, and guess what - its back! Do any of you guys feel sick with it? I can feel not too bad one minute then whoosh I feel sick get hot a flush and a headache. It does seem from what I've read on this splendid site that we all have good days and bad.

Yeah, I had a rotten week-end the myelopathy decided it would kick in ( it has been very good lately, Hasn't bothered me much) I become very weak and feel sick it lasted for two days and left as it came. It's a weird and wonderful condition isn't it?
Can I ask ... Re the sickness, are you taking any anti-inflams??If you do , do you take a tummy protecting tablet too??
Have you had an MRI scan HC?

hi hc as the others have said welcome, does the nausea accmpany the headache which is usual for us cs sufferers. i am into my 6th week of feeling rough and boy is it a stinker this time. re-read the previous posts and you will pick up allsorts of hints and tips. good luck x chris

Thanks to all for the welcome. No I am not on any medication, only nurofen if it gets bad. Today the whole of my head feels sore but just under the skin (as if someone pulled all my hair hard!) does that make sense? But don't feel too sick today. Sometimes the sickness is with a headache but is doesn't last very long. It seems to change daily, and go round in circles. Yes I have had an MRI scan that diagnosed the CS plus a couple of bits of brain that don't get full blood supply - apparently that is very common in people over 50! However I am waiting to see a neurologist hopefully sometime in September as I am going away for 5 weeks next week.
Sorry that you guys are having a rough time and hope you feel better soon.
