Hi, throughout my anxiety experience I have been on two different types of anti-depressents, had three seperate sittings of CBT and Hypnotherapy. CBT worked for me for a while but doesn't seem to work for long. I am quite anti-drug therapies as the experiences I have had with them have been extremely negative. My symptoms are pretty strong most of the time of the day, the worst for me is nausaea and tightness of my throat, if I could ditch these that'd be great, any ideas?
Hi Jamie
I have a meds fear , so I don't take them , I do know though from others I have spoken to that sometimes it has taken several different medications before they have found the right one that works for them & it can be off putting when you have had negative experiences but sometimes it can be worth trying again , but totally understand how you will be feeling
Have you discussed this with your GP , they may be able to reassure you ?
You say therapy worked for a while , there are so many people that have anxiety that have had therapy several times before they have found it has worked , it might be an idea to ask your GP for some more or maybe something like seeing a psychologist ?
I hope you find something that works for you long term
Take Care

Hi, thanks for the concern, what do you mean by psychologist as it is quite a broad term?
A psychologist is someone who can help you with learning how to cope with life issues , if you look up psychologist in Google you will see what they would be able to offer
