Where to start

Hi I'm new here, hope I am welcome. I would like to loose weight and tone my muscles but I really don't know where to start. any advice? thanks in advance

what you do depends in a way how overweight you are, what activity you already do, and any other health problems that you may have.

if it is a while since you did any movement then an excellent start would be to just do a 15-20 minute daily walk. it could be around a local park or just around some quiet streets near where you live or work. get that into a routine and your body will get used to the activity, movement etc.

if you have shops within a kilometre of where you live or work you could walk to those for your groceries. or it could be visiting a friend or relative who lives within walking distance. 

then of course there are organised exercise sessions eg classes at a sports centre, or walking groups or cycling groups etc.

but without knowing more about your situation then it is not easy to suggest what would be most appropriate.
