White bood cell count high

Since being diagnosed with PMR my white blood cell count, on each blood test, has been high. Is this normal

mine is always a little elevated, doc says normal due to the pred.

AN elevated WBC is one of the side effects of taking pred. Nothing untoward.

Same for me with a slightly higher count.

Yes, it happens a lot. Pred increases the number of neutrophils, one sort of white blood cell - and as a result the total count is also raised.
