Hi. I had a MRI of my ankle and there is a white oval where my ankle bends up and meets the shin. It looks very shallow by the surface but it is scaring me! Info have a autoimmune disease if that is helpful. What is this?

I don't know what it is but it might be a bone spur or a extra bone. Keep us posted. Good luck.
it could be arthritis. does it hurt alot??? Go get an opinion on it.

It hurts but nothing I can't handle. It kinda looks like a sac of fluid. It is not bone I am sure of that. I have a appointment to go over it with the dr but not for 3 weeks!
Must not be urgent I'm thinking, but a problem none the less. Try getting your appointment bought forward. Or get an appointment with your regular Dr to try to get some answers.

Hey Cleo, don't know where you live, but here you have the legal right to get the written report after 48 hours of test being done. This will give you much more info. then trying to decifer the film yourself. Hope this helps.
Go to your regular dr, and find out what it is. Thats stupid that you cant get in for 3 weeks. I wouldnt think its safe with something like that not knowing what it is. Get it checked out!!!
