This looks most like pigmentation variation and yes it will vary as you go through life. It may become more noticeable or it may fade to near to how it was before. Pigmentation variation is very common on the genitals - the most common condition that can also cause this is Vitiligo, it is non-problematic
It potentially could be the start of a skin condition so simply monitor what is going on such as other symptoms and get checked if you become concerned.
