hi, I’m concerned with the white patches on my penis. I seen my doctor recently but she didn’t think it was anything to worry about, I mentioned it might be lichen sclerosis but she didn’t really agree. it doesn’t hurt but it is affecting my confidence. Any advice on how to get rid of this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Keep using the cortisone cream. Maybe try to go to the dermatologist. Update us if you get it sorted. Good luck. Do not get down about it, it is not a big deal.
I am an LS ( lichen sclerosis) sufferer myself - as g2020 has it you would be best to see a Dermatologist. If you have problems getting to see a Derm let me know in which country you live and I can maybe suggest what to do.
In terms of the hydrocortisone it will only have beneficial impact if the strength of it is strong enough to deal with the problem itself. You need to apply it as directed in the instructions, particularly if it states specifically using it on genital skin. It needs to be absorbed into the skin and this will take at least two minutes of constant rubbing it into the problem skin area.
YOU MUST be real careful not to get the hydrocortisone into your Meatus, this is the outlet from your Urethra, as this can cause a major problem.
It is not surprising that you have no changes going on after a few days - as I say, the strength of the steroid content needs to be strong enough to deal with the problem, even then, it can take anywhere between a few days, several months and potentially up to 6 or 7 months of using the correct strength application in the correctly manner before beneficial change can potentially happen.
What is the hydrocortisone you are using? Is it a white cream or is it a clear / opaque ointment?
Did the doctor say to let them know how you getting on after 2 to 4 weeks, or to go back and see them if the problem is not going away … ?
