i have lost pigment as well. I self diagnosed myself due to my symptoms, a lot like your describing. I had to go to a dermatologist for the LS diagnoses. a lot of general practice dr’s are not knowledeable about it. Through my derm dr is where I got my clobatesol steroid cream. (life saver)
Hi,
I haven L S I have ulceration and redness at the entrance symmetrically so I arent worried about that. I use the dermovate/clob for maintenance. Went for check up the other week and didnt realise that exactly where yours is shiny so was mine. I got told to apply the dermovate there and it quickly went pink. Have you any of this you didnt say. Dont google the images are images of people who dont check themselves and arent aware. You ARE aware and are doing something about it. Once you apply the steroid it will go back to healthy skin just like excema does. Think of it as excema as I do and it will be ok.
Sorry dam ipad I have LS not havent
I am not an expert but the white area looks exactly like the start of LS to me. Ask for a referral to see a specialist.
Is it common in the early stages of LS to have white patches on one side? My skin is slightly lighter on the other side but definitely not as noticeable. I haven’t been prescribed anything yet, but I’m familiar with clob. My husband uses it for his psoriasis. When my cuts returned my husband told me to try a tiny bit, which I did and my skin healed faster. I would have continued using it, but I would prefer the okay from a doctor. Does clob help restore lost pigment? Thanks!
it looks like the start of it especially if you get small cuts in that area but you will only know with a biopsy. Please let us know the results if you feel comfortable.
