who else has had it more than once?

Hi as iam writeing this i am on my fourth time so i must be used to it.

It started on my arm now i have quite a few i get them mostly spring normallyi have a few every year i just hope it doesn't go full blown i have that twice when its been everywhere. Just wondering if anybody else gets it like that to. sad mandy

I've just discovered it for the second time. I'm totally gutted. My previous outbreak was 18m ago, when i started exercising again (jogging)n after the birth of my son. This time - guess what? I'd just started exercising after giving birth! Both times it started with a sore throat, no major herald patch and a few spots on my back and arms.

I'm absolutely dreading it's possible development. Last time I was 5m suffering from it, and it took a further 6m for the spots to totally fade. I find it so hard to find outfits which keep me sufficiently covered and am just hoping it clears up quicklythis time.

I've just been diagnosed and was talking to my Mum about it this morning - apparently I also had it when I was little. This bout is 29 years after the first... Have to confess I don't really remember the first, but I hope that this will be the last - whilst it's not itchy, tis not particularly attractive especially just as the summer is coming up (I'm in New Zealand....)

I am worried that I have it again... Last time (the first time) I ad a patch of what I thought was eczema which suddenly exploded into a bazillion lesions... I seem to hae an odd patch of eczema-like rash under my arm which itches suspiciously badly, and feels like PR to me. Just hoping it goes, and isn't it at all, or at the very least that it goes quicker this time. Has anyone else who had it more than once experienced additional bouts where it wasn't as bad? If it's a virus, you'd surely expect to fight it off better the second time you got it? The doctor told me you couldn't get it again, but looking at this site I don't believe him!!

There is hope... I've had it once before, see above, for 5m. This time the spots are well on the way out after less than 2m. Thank goodness!!!!

hope it's a mild bout for you. It's not nice.

Sorry, just replied to a previous post, prior to seeing yours , I first had a bout more than forty years ago, and another about 3 years ago,I expect it must lie dormant in your system, ready to strike at any time!!!

I'm in the midst of a PR attack - i cannot remember exactly how many times i've had it but it's more than three! I first caught it after i recovered from Glandualr Fever when i was 19 (i'm now 29) and i thought it was some after or side effect of that - but i truly believe that stress has a big effect on the bringing on an attack.

This time around the PS is worse than ever before..i just hope as it returns it doesn't become stronger.....

I haven't really let i bother me in tha past as i was aware of what it was but now i'm getting a bit annoyed by it!

I've read on this webpage that spring can be a trigger....i guess for me this time around that could be a possibility!

I had this when i was younger, about 8 year ago. A rash which I'm almost certain is the same thing has just appeared recently over the last few weeks. I've not been to the doctor yet, but I'm pretty certain this is what's causing it.

It's a pain, but it's a relief finding this site and knowing that other people are getting it more than once. The other sites i read about it state a second attack is rare and i started thinking maybe there was something wrong with me.

So thank you all for sharing your experiences.

STILL HERE!!!

I've had 2 big eruptions in 3 years and am currently suffering from a smaller one right now. My eruptions were all following te birth of my children and I cannot help but think there is a hormonal/dietary link.
