Who gets weighed at contraception clinic?

Yesterday I was weighed for the first time in two years at the Palatine Centre in Manchester when I went to get my contraception. I've been going straight through to get my pills but this time was seen by the nurse first. I'm on Cerazette so my weight isn't necessarily that relevant.

Is this because the person who checked me in thought I looked overweight?

I've put on a few pounds and my BMI is too high at 27.

Being weighed is very traumatic for me as I used to suffer from an eating disorder. I asked the nurse not to tell me my weight (because I don't want to slip back into my old ways and doing the permanent maths of weight loss) but she gave me a piece of paper with my weight written on it. And because I haven't been weighed there for a while I'm assuming it's because I look overweight. That's ok - if I look overweight I can do something about it without resorting to starvation but I feel like I need to know the truth of the situation.

If any of your know the answer I'd be so grateful.

Being weighed is a standard thing, it's nothing to do with looking fat or skinny, everyone gets weighed, it's just a health indicator

God forbid but say you have a health problem that makes you lose weight, if there is no record of what you did weigh how would they be sure and by how much over a certain period you are losing

They don't always send you through to the nurse first at my local clinic and I know I haven't been sent through to be weighed since March 2012. Bit calmer now. I didn't want to know my weight because I knew I'd obsess over the numbers and start losing it very rigidly if I got stressed. Perhaps the worry made me a little bit paranioid.
