Who had something that looked like herpes and it wasn’t?

Hello. I really need to hear some good news.

Long story short, I have a history of BV and Yeast infection (like always) and the moment i take BV meds, I get a yeast infection. I have been with the same partner for almost a year now. One day, went to the bathroom and it burned a bit (no sign of any sores) I went to the doctor for something unrelated, and had her test for BV just to check (the burning was not typical). Sure enough she said i had BV. . I went through about 4 tubes of the metro gel cor BV started to get thick, white discharge (which i thought was maybe the gel) that would come out in amount the size of quarters. I the noticed two flat blister-like things on the inside of my labia, and the next day, some flat white, mishapen sore things at the back of my vaginal before my butt. I went back to the doctor, she said it did not appear to be herpes, and put in a prescription for yeast. I took the meds, and everything was nearly gone the next day. I need to know if anyone has had anything like this and tested negative for herpes. i never got anything swabbed because i could not face it. Should i go back and get a blood test? Should i trust it? Please help.

a lot of the time when I get herpes outbreaks i also get thrush or BV along with it. You know sores arent symptoms of those things and they are a sign of herpes. Your doctor should have swabbed the blisters and it was pretty bad practice that she didnt refer you to be tested.
If you do have herpes its ok, 1 in 3 people have it. ignore the stigma and just make sure youre looking after your body.
if you get lumps/ sores/ blisters again go to a sexual health clinic and get them swabbed so you can have peace of mind

Hey did it burn to pee bc it would touch the sores? or just burn in general to urinate? do you have a pic

It just burned to pee in general. I did notice that right at the opening inside, there was a large, red patch about the size of a dime that almost looked like a burn inside.

Yeah, Im going to do that. Should I get blood tested? My symptoms were ao minimal, that I doubt ill evert have blisters again.

aw yeh sorry bab that looks like a herpes lesion. Sooo painful when you get pee on it. order some acyclovir online and it should be gone within the week. Try and keep it clean and dry but only use soaps made for feminine washing not normal soap cuz itll make it worse

This was months ago :frowning: My doctor prescribed yeast medication ans the sores were gone the next day. Should i bite the bullet and just go get blood tested?
