I have always had this worry in the back of my head. I feel like I am more tired than a normal person should be. I cant really tell if I was during highschool because I took vvyvanse and that gave me energy all day long. I stopped taking it in college and ever since then I have felt the need to take naps throughout the day if I am able to. I nap after class, after work, I get at least 5-7 hours of sleep most nights. I am not overweight, my diet isnt as great as it should be in all honesty, and I stopped working out really hard about a year ago (even when I did I woke up so early to do it I was pretty tired afterwards.) It just freaks me out that (and I know this isnt healthy) most people in college are able to stay up very late and pull all nighters and I have never had the energy to do that and I am in bed at a pretty reasonable time if I finish my work or not. I have never had any issues that I know of that could make me tired (besides my health anxiety). I made an appointment to get my blood tested next week and of course I am freaking out that it might be cancer causing my tiredness (realistically I know thats most likely not the case) Does anyone else experience this as well? or might know what I should expect when I visit my doctor? Thank you in advance!
there are hundreds of non-serious reasons for people to feel tired. Anxiety and stress plays a huge role in that! Other things could be having a low thyroid, depression, viruses such as cold or flu, sleep disorder, low red blood count plus many others. When you see the doctor ask if they did a thyroid check and a complete blood count .
if you have a history of anxiety, that could be the culprit.
some things you can do our first, get the check up and blood test, improve your diet including more fruits and vegetables and less acidic foods such as snack foods, pop, you can find this list online., Get some regular exercise because with exercise and healthy diet you will boost your immune system to fight off illness etc.
my anxiety was so bad at one point I couldn’t even get off the couch. So you need to really take care of yourself and if there’s issues in your life causing stress and anxiety, I highly recommend you visiting a counselor who can help you manage this.
Take care.
You will probably be prescribed an iron supplement.
