The anxiety is gaining control but you can slow it down and get in better control.anxiety is causing you to not be able to catch your breath or expand your lungs. The rest you are getting is from adrenaline. It is not harmful and it wears off after a while. But I know how uncomfortable all of this feels. headaches are also common with anxiety. I’m not surprised you’re not able to sleep well with all of this going on. I’ve been through it myself many times.
there is something that I have found to be very helpful when I’m feeling anxious or panicky. On YouTube search for something called stop panic attacks now. Then scroll down to one called don’t panic. It’s in bold black letters. Get yourself comfortable and listen to this. She will guide you through your panic. It really works and you feel like you’re calmer and a little more in control. It’s all about the breathing. If you’re not doing it right you will feel very anxious and panicky.
have you had a physical check up in the recent past? It would give you peace of mind.
there are also a lot of meditations you can listen to for anxiety, sleep, etc. All on YouTube. I listen to these every night while laying down to fall asleep and they are great!
think about talking to a counselor. You most likely have underlying anxiety that is contributing to your breathing issues and panic. Hang in there.
