It seems every morning when I wake up I feel so scared like I can feel fear through my body, but I'm not scared of anything? Is this normal? Also my doctor says my suffering anxiety but how can they be sure it's not a brain tumour with an mri?
Morning Anxiety is common
What you have is anxiety but if you want reassurance pay for a full medical
Stay Strong
That happens to me but I feel it all day. My doctor says I have health anxiety. It's so bad. I have had so many tests . I wake up wanting to go to the doctors. Just take it easy and keep busy.
It sounds like general anxiety disorder. I've had it all my life...
It is General Anxiety Disorder, I used to happen to me every night but now it only happens sometimes. I was in my friend's bed watching tv two nights ago and fell asleep. It happened then, I jolted awake and it freaked him out a little. My body literally jerks so hard it's very unnerving to the person beside you. But I was all calm like 'oh it happens sometimes.' Isn't it just awful how we get so used to our symtoms?
I have similar issues. For me, I have anxiety issues which stem from a passing of a friend and other issues, and in the morning, I am the most vulnerable. My mind hasn't had time to wake up and be totally rational, so the fear, panic, and anxiety takes over.
Can you pinpoint anything that triggered your anxiety?
Through the eyes for one. Different symptoms. How is your blood pressure?
Hi Sandi, did you ever start your meds? I ended up in the hospital for about 5 days. I hated it. They are changing my meds from Paxil 45mg to Prozac 10mg right now. They upped my clonazepam, which I wasn't happy about. This medication change over is rough. The Prozac is giving me headaches, nausea and added anxiety. Don't know if I can do this, but I have got to do something.
Yes I did start it...2 days ago....I started at the min dose and felt the side effects within an hour....yesterday was rough...today not so bad. From paxil I'm surprised they didn't recommend cipralex...that's the newest form of paxil. Less side effects apparently and faster acting.
I'm sorry to hear that you're going thru a rough time 😔. I'm still experiencing anxiety and still on clonazepam daily as well
I can't take Lexapro, what you call Cipralex. I had genetic testing done and my body supposedly reacts with Paxil and Lexapro the same way. My body doesn't metabolize it right, therefore I'll be back in the same problem again. The Prozac is giving me headaches, nausea and having to go to the bathroom. Mainly headaches and nausea, oh and it increases anxiety when you first start on it.
My blood pressure is fine, doctor didn't look st my eyes had an eye test about 2 months ago
I think it was that I convinced myself I had a brain tumour as was getting headaches and then it just got really bad without me realised till I was already experiencing strong anxiety
Oh do u?? Geez. Yes I can only imagine the side effects ur experiencing. ...they're all similar I think. I've been feeling gaggy and nauseous when I think about it...trying to focus on other things and keeping busy. I don't feel as fuzzy today which I'm happy about. When did u start Prozac?
I started it last Thursday I think.
It really sounds like health anxiety to me.
How long ago was that?
Have you asked your doctor about therapy or CBT?
Hi, Charlotte: This is very normal. I wake up scared to "something" every morning...after a few hours or even minutes it goes away...Just try to ignore it and know it is just part of anxiety....
Yeah I'm starting a cbt course so fingers crossed!
Awesome!
I'm waiting on my therapy appointment at around the end of june so I'm struggling sometimes.
Is this your first time in therapy?
How come?
Yeah and yeah how about you?
