Why does my anxiety come out of the blue with no reason

Hi I'm 33 years old and have been suffering with anxiety for 7 years on and off one day I'm normal the next day I have anxiety and it stays for days or even weeks I get headaches, fast heartbeat, dizziness and sickness I try to get on with it but it still there I would like some advice from others that suffered this maybe they have tried things and have worked?......

To really understand our anx and depression i think therapy is the only way to go,meds can help symptoms but they cant bring understanding

I've been to therapy before hasn't really worked and mess are a no no.......maybe I should try therapy again?..

Theres different approaches to therapy, CBT never worked for me, Cognative Analytical Therapy does work for me, just a case of finding what works for u

Hello Chilli

In my experience, the BIG CLUE is to find out what is causing you anxiety.  It can be so many things:

Health

Social

Rlationship

Money Worries

Environment

Work/Colleagues... and many more!

Once recognised, you can get help.  I did not find therapy very useful at all.  But this is a personal thing.  For me, meds is the best way, but you must find what suits you.  I think therapy did not help me because I always know what is causing my anxiety.  I was just telling someone else my problems, and did not get much back...then discharged because I KNEW what causes my own anxiety...so was left to take meds and sort myself out!  Not easy!  Good Luck!  whichever route you take.

Hey CruiseLady my prob once I get aniexty I want the aniexty to go and that's the prob......wanted to ask how is it being on medicatio?..

Hi, chilli

We are all different, but I think majority of sufferers who take meds and persevere with them find them helpful in that they help you to relax and get your physical symptoms back on track.  If you are more relaxed, then you should sleep better, your body feels less tense, then you can concentrate on what is causing your anxiety, and how best you can face the causes.  It is not easy and takes a great deal of effort, but long term it is worth it.  Hope this makes sense.  Good Luck!

Thanks smile
