Why is anxiety ruining my life

Hello all I have been suffering from what I believe is bad health anxiety over the past 4 months. I have been so the Er 6 times a medexpresss place 1 time and doctor about 10 times. I feel like something is wrong with my heart I’m 22 years old and the doctors say nothing is wrong with it. I have had 6 ekg 6 blood test and two chest X-rays I can’t accept the fact that it’s my anxiety causing this someone please help. The anxiety pills I have tried gave me terrible side effects and I’m scared to try anything else.

I have been there as well I have had chest pain as well and had tests including stress tests. I worry constantly since it started. I have a ton of other issues as well. Have you had a stress test? Which pills for they prescribe?

No stress test they said I don’t need it. And I have had 6ekg 6 blood test 2 chest X-rays I was on Prozac then buspar now I have atarax and my doc gave me Inderal LA and oxazpam but not taking the inderal at all and not gonna take oxazpam either I’m scared to take them especially the inderal heart pill for tachycardia

Hi what is a stress test?

I get burning pains in my fingers like nerves and sometimes but my arms. Get pain in stomach and abdomen back pain shoulder pain ect

An echo and holter would put your mind at ease. Just ask. No harm and then you’ll know 100%.

It's an EKG before you exercise and get your heart rate up to about 180 and then another ekg to see how your heart rate calms back down and to check for abnormalities in rhythm. It shows quite a few things. The cardiologist looks at it and if he doesn't see any abnormalities they deem the test normal.

I'm in Iowa in the US and here they won't do the echo or the holter monitor without a valid reason because of the cost. Where are you located Tanya? Do you have private or state insurance? I have state and sometimes requesting tests is like pulling teeth.

I’m Canadian and live in Ireland so we don’t have those problems like Americans do.  All citizens deserve to be healthy regardless of cost!

I love the Canadian healthcare system. It really is wonderful. I've read about it. I wish we had that here.
